COBB Frying Dish

We have had a Cobb for years, and we use it for all sorts of cooking, but sometimes a big open pan is what you need, ands this one is ideal for wok style cooking, chillis, stews, soups and more. The raised edges keep food contained (no runaway sausages here), and its lightweight (1.1Kg) design makes it easy to transport.

It has two heat resistant handles to easily place it on the Cobb base, and it's a breeze to use. All you do is add the Cobble Stone to the base and light it, then snugly place the dish on top, add the Cobb lid to warm up the surface, and then add your food. Due to the heat source being directly below, the encapsulated aluminium base ensuresit heats evenly to cook meals to perfection. Plus, it’s large enough to feed a family, saving you from juggling multiple pans.

We can’t find much wrong with this pan, but if we had to find one slight drawback, due to the lightness of the pan, it’s not the best for heat retention, so you might find it cools off quicker than expected once off the heat. That said, here at Muddy HQ we don’t wait to eat (who does?), therefore as soon as it’s ready it will be gobbled down, so we didn’t find heat retention a problem.
