Storacell Battery Holders

I was at a trade show recently when I came across this handy little product. It was something that I didn't know I needed (I didn't even know it existed), but has since become a vital piece of my travelling equipment, and also something that is regularly used in our house.

Great for travelling...

PowerPax Storacell Battery Management Systems, to use their posh name, actually came into being because of the FAA's (Federal Aviation Administration) strict flying regulations in the USA, which states that:

Passengers can carry most consumer-type batteries and portable battery-powered electronic devices for their own personal use in carry-on baggage. Spare batteries must be protected from damage and short circuit.

Which essentially means that you can no longer have spare batteries floating around in your bags, and, in our current electronics-filled life, not having spare batteries can be a pain in the rear.

So just by keeping your spare batteries secure, in a manner in which they cannot in any way touch together, these little plastic battery holders will save you the annoyance of having your spares confiscated at the airport, and the expense of having to buy more when you land.

Great for the home...

We have also used it to keep our rechargeable batteries handy on the desk. We use rechargeables in quite a few bits and pieces around the home, but keeping track of which needs charging, and which we have already charged, was a pot luck situation until we got one of these. Now once they have been charged they are put straight in the holder on the desk, so no more guessing, and no more batteries rolling around the desk.

They are also great for chucking into your bags (laptops, handbags, holdalls, etc.), because with the bright colours, and sturdy design, there's no more fumbling for batteries that always manage to elude you in the bottom of your dark cavernous bag, just when you really need them (they even have a glow-in-the-dark version called Moonshine, that has up to 8 hours luminescence) .

Also great for businesses...

In the USA Storacell Systems are now in use within law enforcement, the emergency services, Search & Rescue and the military, and with the increased use of rechargeable batteries, and the legal requirement to recycle batteries, it mean that they are the ideal solution to safely store, transport and return waste or discharged batteries to base.

They come in 4, 6, 8, 12 & multi-type pack sizes, and a variety of colours. The battery types include:
